It's the first one. I'm not sure which one you're looking for so just look for the difference yourself. Mahou Sensei Negima! is the earlier one.

Yeah it's the first one and I like it better than the other one too.

Despite all the whining from the haters, this series did follow the manga for as long as it had the time and budget to do so. Sure, it added an original ending arc, but that helped it feel like a complete product and avoid "26-episode manga commercial syndrome" that other shows like Berserk suffered. And most of the anime pre-ending original episodes were better than the manga anyway.

The manga's development is really weird and messed up, that's for sure. There definitely wouldn't be an anime covering the entire manga, since it changes its genre dramatically and it would be conflicting to the audience. So even if it did have a chance to cover more of the manga, it would still be better for them to stop where they did.

Some color changes, and overall poor adaptation work are our main gripes with this. Okay, I lied, our main gripe is that it's adapting the most boring chapters of an awesome manga. We will never see Negi vs Rakan animated ;_; or how Nodoka stood up to the Key-something mage ;_;

Because you don't know how to operate a media player, and haven't realized that this release already has the Japanese audio track and subtitles, in addition to the English audio?

And fwiw, I found the English audio to have a much more entertaining script than the Japanese version.
