Gradius is right, but most anime made between ~1999-2006 were animated digitally in SD resolutions. So perhaps that's what stubbsiboy was getting at.
Yeah, this isn't worth 1080p. Save yourself the bandwidth and space and get 720p.
Oh boy, this is kind of ugly. It looks like the studio put the SD originals through a filter like scale2x, it has a weirdly clean/blobby appearance, and is rather distracting. Pixelation and noise might be more welcome than this melted appearance.
But all the same, I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this!
